There are four prizes.

First Prize is 10,000 euros

Second Prize is 7,500 euros

Third Prize is 5,000 euros

A special recommendation prize of 2,500 euros. This will be awarded to the candidate in the first two rounds who showed great promise, but was not quite ready to go forward into the final round.

There are three rounds.

First round is 15 minutes duration. Choice of repertoire is free, but should demonstrate a variety of styles.

Second round on Friday the 13th March is of 20 minutes duration. Repertoire must be different from that played in the first round. Again choice is free.

The final on Saturday the 14th March is of 30 minutes duration and candidates can use new repertoire and that from previous rounds.

Repertoire must consist of music that was written specifically for voice and piano and therefore must exclude any opera or oratorio. As quality of programming will also be taken into account by the jury, it is recommended that candidates choose a well balanced variety of composers and languages.
